Most monsters believe that the Balance is the simple balance of power and dominance between humans and monsters.

But this is merely part of the bigger picture. Rather, it is the Balance of Everything - Nature, Time and Space, Life and Death, Good and Evil, Light and Darkness, even Reality itself.

To protect and maintain such a Balance is no easy feat, and is a great burden to bear, especially when there are forces that could and would tip it in their favor, at the expense of others.

But is a task that Kibosh takes with utmost seriousness. Anyone or anything who threatens the Balance is a threat to be dealt with without hesitation or mercy.

It’s easy to see that word in its simplest form.

So easy.

Because no one knows it holds a greater meaning than what it lets on.

But to have its fullest context presented to you here is something astounding. Doesn’t really sound like a fun job, but when has any job been such a way?

Not once throughout all of existence. It’s a prison in of itself that is unforgiving, yet this is where Kibosh remains. Keeping the Balance not out of the sheer kindness of his heart, no. It’s an obligation that must be taken seriously. This is the position he’s held for such a long time. I doubt any soul can do a better job than he has.

This is not to brag, it is a simple fact.

No one would know what to do if they took his place. The complexities of such concepts are not so clear either. You’d need to have a completely open mind. But even then, you still wouldn’t achieve the level he’s set.
